The 2024 edition revised almost every statement carried over from the 2012 CKD guideline, keeping only a handful unchanged, and added SGLT2 inhibitors, GLP-1 receptor agonists and non-steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists as proven therapies to slow CKD progression. It also expanded to six chapters with refined GFR assessment and explicit risk-prediction guidance.
