Guideline Atlas is a reference locator, not a clinical decision support tool. It helps you find which clinical practice guideline is current and where to read it. It does not tell you what to do for any patient.

Nothing here is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and nothing here establishes a clinician–patient relationship.
Summaries are our own short, neutral descriptions. They are not the guideline. Always read and rely on the original document at the issuing organisation, which we link from every entry.
Guidelines change. Despite our efforts, an entry may be out of date, incomplete, or wrong. Verify currency against the issuing body before relying on it.
Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating professional, who must exercise their own judgement.

Who may use it

Guideline Atlas is intended for healthcare professionals and students. It is free. You must be at least 16 to create an account, and you agree to give accurate details when you do. If you register as a student, you must use a valid institutional (.edu) email address.

Your account

Keep your login credentials secure and do not share your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been used without your permission. You may delete your account at any time.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

scrape, bulk-download, or systematically copy the content, or use it to train a machine learning model, without our written permission;
present the content as your own, or resell it;
attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
use it in any way that is unlawful or that would mislead a patient.

Content and other people’s rights

Guideline Atlas stores bibliographic information about guidelines — title, issuing body, year, version, status and a link — together with our own short summaries and comparison notes. We do not reproduce the full text of any guideline. All guidelines remain the property of their issuing organisations, and their names and trademarks belong to them; reference to them here does not imply any endorsement or affiliation. Our own summaries, comparisons, taxonomy and the site itself remain ours.

If you are a rights holder and believe something here is used inappropriately, contact us and we will address it promptly.

Feedback you send

If you send feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the service without obligation or payment to you. Please do not include patient-identifiable information in feedback.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, currency, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any clinical decision made in reliance on the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Ending access

You may stop using Guideline Atlas and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if it is necessary to protect the service or its users.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will publish the new version here and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
